Salvatelli originated in Montegranaro, in the heart of Le Marche region.
A family tradition started in 1894 by progenitor Loredano Salvatelli, a shoe craftsman, that was handed down to his son Franco. At the end of the 40's, Franco, among the rubbles of a society devastated by the war, found once again great passion toward his father's activity. In a small laboratory in the province he reinvented a men's shoe collection using a high-quality manufacturing process.
The laboratory grew and in 1956 it opened its doors to national clients.
In 1962 Franco's first-born son, named after his grandfather, becomes part of the company. Franco and Loredano Jr. start the pioneering production of shoes for men and women creating a comfort collection. That is when Salvatelli Laboratories entered the international market.
The Molliter brand was created during the 90's.
It was the emblem of the new vision for the production of orthopaedic shoes using sophisticated stylistic elaborations of volumes and designs that now guarantee the respect absolutely of the anatomy of the foot, any problematics related to it and the containment of the correctional ortheses.
In the new millenium, Loredano opened the company's doors to his sons Franco and Alberto and his daughter Susanna changing the company's name into Salvatelli srl.
The fourth generation investigated the subject of the foot and its pathologies and in 2004 obtained the rights to the international patent they created for rehabilitation podalic ortheses, post surgery and post trauma using the Optima brand. This brand allowed Salvatelli to enter the field of rehabilitation.
In 2005, Optima Diab, Optima Post Op and Optima Eu.Ro.pa braces, innovative braces produced entirely in Italy, enter the market representing the first step in the treatment of the plantar acute diabetic lesions and post surgery wounds.
In 2006, Optima Modular Shoes for secondary prevention were created.
Today, the Salvatelli Team avail themselves of highly qualified shoe technicians, orthopedic technicians specialized in biomechanics, and the collaboration of international scientific institutes which test and validate the effectiveness of the products.
