About us
We are a highly-motivated group in the quest for solutions to improve mobility in diabetic patients and people with motor deficit.Our mission is to restore balance and comfort in safe walking.
Tradition
Since 1894 the Salvatelli family has been manufacturing footwear in the Marche region, in Italy. Loredano Salvatelli founded the first craft workshop in Montegranaro; after the Second World War his son Franco started an atelier studio to mass produce classic men’s footwear. In 1960 Loredano Salvatelli, Franco’s eldest son, turned this family-run workshop into an industrial-scale business and started manufacturing women’s comfort footwear.
Today
By 2002 Franco, Susanna and Alberto Salvatelli had turned their father Loredano’s industrial business in Civitanova Marche and started an innovative manufacture of medical devices. Optima Molliter is a way of working, communicating, changing. Optima Molliter is the name of our Programme. Optima Off-loading technology developed by the Wound Management Division in the field of diabetes-related and neuroischaemic plantar wounds is helping doctors, podiatrists and engineers today in many countries around the world to successfully and cost-efficiently treat these foot conditions while reducing healing time. These devices are part of the Acute Phase protocol. Mac1 and Mac2 are footwear that redesign the walking step strategy and help prevent ulcers or their recurrence. Mac1 is the expression of Primary Prevention; Mac2 summarizes the Secondary Prevention protocol.

At present we work in close collaboration with: Clinica Universitaria Pisana, Diabetic Foot Department, University of Ancona, Department of Biomechanics and Study of Movement, Ancona INRCA Hospital, Diabetic Foot Unit, Clinica Multimedica, Milan, Diabetic Foot Unit, Clinica Villa Maria Cecilia, Cotignola, Diabetic Foot Unit.
